There is a specific time to fulfill any desire or whim in life. Once the right time passes, the desire may still be fulfilled, but the satisfaction may not be the same. The burger or biryani that tastes like nectar at the age of 17 may not be as enjoyable at 27. At 18, one might enjoy riding a rickshaw dressed in a Saree or Punjabi with peers, but there’s no guarantee that the same activity will be enjoyable at 28. The joy of taking a trip to Bandarban with friends in the second year of university at 19 may not be the same at 29. A person who dreams of gardening on their rooftop one day, but never plants a rose sapling in a pot on their balcony, may find that by the time the rooftop is ready, they no longer have time to garden. The person who dreams of buying expensive Sarees and Punjabis for their parents after getting a job may earn money, but by then, their parents may have become guests of Allah. The small joys and whims of life are very precious. These things keep a person's heart alive, fresh, and vibrant. A person's heart gradually dies and becomes rigid in the lament of unfulfilled desires. That’s why it’s important to fulfill these desires while there’s still time. Instead of thinking, 'I’ll eat when I save a lot of money,' save a little now and go enjoy a burger at Hungry Heroes or McDonald's, or have some kachchi at Sultan Dine. Trust me, you will experience the greatest satisfaction in life. Don’t delay; offer your favorite person a rickshaw date today. If she/he agrees, go out in the rain, dressed in a Saree or Punjabi, enjoying the ride in an open rickshaw. When you have some money in your pocket, put your hand on your friend's shoulder and say, 'Come on, let’s go to Bandarban. We’re going today, right now. Pack your bag; we need to catch the train to Chittagong.' Instead of waiting for the day you’ll have a garden on your rooftop, plant your favorite rose sapling in a pot on the balcony of your rented house. Buy a Saree or Punjabi for your parents with the money you earn from tutoring, even if it’s just cotton; the fulfillment of the desire is what matters! Remember, the one who deprives themselves in the hope that everything will happen one day ends up with nothing in life. Their life passes in sadness and unfulfillment, ending in regret and lamentation.
